The breakdown of this old barn is much like the breakdown of relationships. A little neglect, a little folding of the hands and suddenly you realize things don't look as appealing as they once did. It takes a lot of hard work to maitain a relationship; they don't just stay healthy or "good".They breakdown from time to time and, like this old barn, collapse beneath the weight of themselves without a some TLC and routine maintenance now and again. Thanks to Andrew2 for commenting on the version of this image. I don't normally duplicate post, but this was something I thought would look nice in B-W and his comment confirmed my hunch, so - thanks Andrew2!!

Beautiful. If you were to send it to the National Historic Society, your picture may give it a chance to be saved. That is why you called the picture-"Foreclosed" right ?

Actually, the new owner is going to rebuild the barn but he has to keep the foundation because it's on the National Register of Historic Places.

The property once belonged to my brother in laws family, but he let the property go to diarray and fell on financial trouble so I believe forclosure was the only viable option. A real mess.
