I am so attracted to this shot! The warm yellows inside and the cool blues outside plus the perspective into infinity! Just great!

Thank you so much. I was lucky to miss a train and wander around the station :-))

Location
In the Luxembourg City Central railway station. The new gateway wasn't quite finished yetTime
Shortly after sunset, which gave me the nice blue hour lightLighting
The blue hour and the light above the stairs plus some emergency lighting (neon tubes in the centre) were an interesting challenge. I waited for a moment when the customer information panel ws changing and not as bright as usualEquipment
Nikon D4 and my favourite wide angle, Sigma 24-35. Excellent for low light. A flash would have spoiled it. And no, I don't drag a tripod to work.Inspiration
The pipes up top, the ribs of the plastic tunnel and the light were begging for a new photo. I have done various daylight versions playing with the shadows but this was even better. I only had to wait for the right amount of people, while making sure I wouldn't miss the next trainEditing
I fiddled with contrast and colour balance in Exposure x6 till I was happy. Not too much though. Oh yes, I rubbed out a distracting rubbish on the floorIn my camera bag
In town I will usually carry my D4 and this wide angle plus an old 18mm and the 85 1.4 for night shotsFeedback
If you commute by public transport make the best of the long hours. There are many opportunities to find the right angle and light so instead of playing with your phone, watch the environment and take photos of interesting architecture, details, people ( do ask!) And even in the train or bus
