Macro Nature Photography focusing on the weather. This is a photograph taken minutes after a big storm in the UK when the clouds eventually broke letting out a stream of beautiful winter morning light , but the rain was still giving its last few drops of refreshment to the trees below. It was a lucky shot to achieve because I was not prepared to take this sort of image and only used my Nikkor 18-55 lens with no macro attachments but i realised , from having a working knowledge with my garden and the times that light hits it , that I could have a chance to capture a shiny flare of sunlight in the last raindrop on a leaf if I just got out there and took it. The photograph , therefore did need to be cropped by a third to make the most of the flare of light and retain a balanced composition , although no other editing has been done to it , it comes in the colour and light palette that Nature intended.
