Location

I took this photo in a strudio in San Leandro Ca

Time

I normally shoot from 10am-2pm. This photo was taken about 1pm

Lighting

One strobe light above. One strobe on each side of them.

Equipment

Sony full frame camera, 24-70mm lens, Pocket Wizard. A large table for them to lie down on And a roll around chair. The chair makes it easier to explore slightly different angles when looking for the best picture.

Inspiration

I wanted to show the love between these two wonderful people

Editing

Very little post processing was needed. Clean up the background, check the edges. Check highlights. Check skin. And that is about it.

In my camera bag

I normally take as little gear as possible. Camera, lens, pocket wizard, and a few backup pieces. And always spare batteries and SD cards. I know people laugh about how the older Sony Cameras would use up their batteries in just a few hundred pictures, but...I've had friends with Nikons and Canons run out of batter power on day trips and couldn't take the pictures we went off to take. Always take a backup battery. And extra SD cards.

Feedback

Work with you model. Discuss with them what you are trying to achieve. Including what quality level you are after and what you hope to do with the resulting pictures. Get their inputs and ideas. Show them the pictures on the back of the camera as you go. Repeat. The models probably have more experience than you do, take advantage of their knowledge to make even better pictures.
