This image was taken in Dungeness, East Sussex. It is touted as Britains only desert, although apparently thats not strictly true. Either way, it is a barren, quiet and fascinating place. The beach is strewn with old fishing boats, fishing equipment and the remnants of a railway line. There are also various relics from WW2. In the background, a huge power station dominates the estate, it's distant clunking and shunting often the only soundtrack to this cinematic landscape.
