Location
The photo was taken during the photoshoot prior to the ceremonie. As their oldtimer car broke down, we only had about 15-20 minutes for the whole shoot. We decided to stay close to the beach where they were going to get married. After getting some shots in and it was time to go, the groom surprised her and dipped her for the final kiss. That's when the wind took her vail that went flying away into the water. As a good photographer i climbed down to get the vail and in the walk to the venue it had time to dry in the wind.Time
The picture was taken around 5:30 pm right before the ceremonie.Lighting
There was gorgeous soft light that day because of the overcast, before we just used a reflector for a little more directional light. But with this shot as she was leaning back, no reflector needed.Equipment
This was shot with the Canon 7d with with a 70-200 2.8 lens.Inspiration
Taking these images is what I live for. This is where preparation meets the opportunity. As a wedding photographer you always have to be on point to catch these candid moments.Editing
I've turned the photo in to B&W to focus more on the emotion. A little dodge and burn and clone a few people out that were behind them.In my camera bag
This shot was actually a few years back, now my preferred gear to bring to a shoot is: * Canon 5D Markiii * Sigma 35mm Art * Sigma 50mm Art * Canon 85mm * Canon 70-200 * A 5 in 1 reflector * Profoto B1 with foldable beautydishFeedback
Know your gear and your settings to the point you don't have to think about them anymore. This means you don't have to look at the camera that often anymore and lets you focus on the couple more. This way the chances get higher of capturing these unique moments!
