I love the way the light shines on the dancer's headdress. This is a great shot - I wish I could have been there to witness this dance.

Location
This photo was taken in Crystal, New Mexico, United States. The dancer is from the Apache tribe. He and other dancers were invited to dance for the community to honor the earth, each other, and bring healing to the people.Time
The dance started in the evening and the sun was setting fast. I watched each dancer and their own unique style, but it was this particular dancer that I was drawn to. So, I sat down on the ground and took as many photos as I could. He turned his back and the clouds parted and the sun shined directly on his back, but only for second.Lighting
I took a lot of photos because the sun was setting fast and each dance can last for five to ten minutes.Equipment
I took this shot with Canon EOS rebel T2i and Sigma art lens, no other equipment was used.Inspiration
I took my camera to this occasion because I want to show the beauty of the Native American people and my home.Editing
I use Lightroom and Photoshop to crop and minor enhancementsIn my camera bag
I use Canon's Rebel T2i camera and Sigma art lens for this photo. I carry Canon's powershot Mark II all the time.Feedback
Honor the ceremony.
