Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in Chicago standing between the AON and Prudential 2 buildings.

Time

The photo was taken in mid-afternoon

Lighting

There was a nice cloud enhanced sky.

Equipment

The photo was taken hand-held with a Nikon D7100, 16-85mm lens.

Inspiration

There are so many opportunities for vertical shots in Chicago. These are two iconic buildings but they look different from this perspective.

Editing

Post was in Lightroom and SilverEfex 2

In my camera bag

I like to travel light and typically choose one lens for a day which is normally a walking day in Chicago. When I do pack a bag it is just to carry a spare lens or two - longer zoom and macro.

Feedback

Tripod would undoubtedly get a better capture, different time of day would provide alternate lighting effects.
