Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at Disney's California Adventure in Anaheim, California.

Time

This was taken around sunset. This was a great time to take pictures because the parks lights were on with a little bit of sun light in the background.

Lighting

It was all natural lighting. No external flash was used.

Equipment

This photo was taken with my Canon t3i, 55-135 lens and a CPL lens filter.

Inspiration

The ferris wheel at Disney's California Adventure looks amazing. I also love how the track from Sreamin' runs past the ferris wheel. My intention was to try and get some great pictures at an angle you don't always see.

Editing

I edited this picture with Adobe Lightroom to correct some of the lighting. After Lightroom I would do my final editing in Adobe Photoshop so I can edit this image by layers.

In my camera bag

When going to a place like Disneyland you have to think about how much weight you want to carry with you through out the day. I try to keep my bag light. On a day like this I would normally be carrying my camera: Canon t3i for now, a flash if I'm planning on taking portraits 2 lenses: Canon 55-135mm, Canon 50mm and 2 extra batteries.

Feedback

When trying to take photos in low light always use a tripod, or use something to help keep your camera stable while taking your pictures. Otherwise you will get motion blur in your photos.
