Behind The Lens

Location

This picture was taken in a sunflower garden in my backyard.

Time

I probably took this picture later in the afternoon. That's usually when I do most of my nature photography.

Lighting

All of the lighting was natural. At this moment the sun was at my back.

Equipment

I used my Canon t3i with the 18-75mm lens and a simple tripod.

Inspiration

I have always loved seeing beautiful pictures of sunflowers. Even though I couldn't be in a field of sunflowers I was still adamant about trying to take my own sunflower pictures and see what I can do. I also have an interest in macro photography. Which inspired me to focus more towards the center of the flower.

Editing

I used Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop to make some small adjustments.

In my camera bag

I have a small bag I like to take with me. It includes my Canon t3i (until I can upgrade), Canon 1.4f 50mm, Canon 18-75mm lens, Canon 75-300mm lens, flash with a diffuser and softbox, a couple of SD cards, cords, a soft cloth for my equipment and a couple of lens filters.
