.....this is a Ferruginous Hawk ....here in the Great Plains of America it fills the niche that the Steppe Eagle does in Asia ....In fact the physical characteristics are so strikingly similar to that of a True Eagle that there has been much debate among biologists and falconers .....one name that was proposed was The American Iron Eagle. So American Iron Eagle is 100 times easier to say than Ferruginous Hawk .....soooo Im going with The American Iron Eagle!
