Creative Abstract architectural photography. Taken as part of an ongoing project called , "Living In Wonderland", for future exhibition this is a manipulated image of a perspective taken from the steps leading away from the flyover bridge in Holyhead, Isle of Anglesey, UK. The manipulation rises , or should I say falls given the perspective , from the use of colour and the rose copper tones I have carefully toned . The bridge is actually a bright chrome silver with hints of blue from the sky on a clear day like this one but my intention in this piece is to show the viewer the experience I have as a sufferer of Alice in Wonderland Syndrome when looking at the world and the objects in it on a daily basis. The condition causes my brain to confuse the messages it receives from my eyes and body , causing changes in colour , shape and dimension and hallucinatory effects in the world I see without a moments notice. The perspective of the image is also important because it creates the same feeling of vertigo and the feeling that the world is contracting in upon me that I feel when facing things like these when an episode occurs, especially as it also causes my other neurodivergent disability, Dysautonomia, to flare . It makes life hard , especially so when trying to work as a photographic artist , which is why I wanted to produce an exhibition to highlight this little known condition and show that rather than seeing my visual issues as an impairment I have decided to view it as an extra dimension to my work.
