Location
This photo was taken from across the yard, from my third floor balcony overlooking the back yard of my apartment building.Time
Late in the afternoon when the sun is low enough to hide behind the trees, providing shade for the children and dogs of our building who like to play in the yard.Lighting
Just using the sunshine I was provided with.Equipment
For this one, as usual, I used my two hands (though I may have used the balcony railing for stability), and my camera. That's it.Inspiration
The fact that my neighbour's dog is named Clover and she 's the same colour as the "clovers" in the grass. The two came together in my head, I ran to grab my camera and was lucky that she was still practicing her "sits" when I got back.Editing
Nope. Never do any post-processing - except to possibly crop and enlarge the section of detail that I wanted in the first place. I prefer to capture what I've seen, not to create what I wanted to see. The stories I sometimes come up with when I see my photos after taking them, often help to tell what my eyes have seen, with certain liberties of interpretation from my brain. In my camera bag
The only things that I keep in my camera bag are my camera, and an extra pair of batteries, just in case.Feedback
With the move to digital, it's so much easier to take as many photos as you want. I take far more photos than I ever keep, but usually end up with at least one photo of each subject that I like, and one's self is always one's harshest critic. Keep the ones that YOU like, and don't feel compelled to keep them all!
