Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken from my third-floor balcony, facing west, overlooking Eglinton Park in uptown Toronto.

Time

Weather permitting, I sit on my balcony in the evenings and read until it's too dark to do so. While I don't know exactly what time of day this shot was taken, it was likely around 6:30PM, as I was lucky enough to capture the last light of the sunset.

Lighting

The sky provided all the lighting needed for this one - right place, right time.

Equipment

As always, I used a simple Kodak Easyshare, playing with the 8x zoom in order to get the tree framing just the way I wanted.

Inspiration

I see some beautiful sunsets off my balcony, so I often take my camera out with me just in case.

Editing

No post-processing except, possibly, a little extra zoom to get the trees just right.

In my camera bag

I keep my Kodak Easyshare with 8x zoom and flash in my coat pocket or backpack in case I see something of interest.

Feedback

The more photos you take, the more chance you have of capturing something you like (ain't digital grand?!). Keep your eyes open, and be aware of your surroundings.
