Conceptual Food and Object Photography. Taken in natural shaded light using macro techniques and a tilted high eye level POV this conceptual image was inspired by the title of the Prince song, 'Diamonds and Pearls' and a twist on the retro childrens favourite the Candy Necklace. The light is subdued to enhance the subtle shapes and contrasts and to give an ambience of elegance which reinforces the humorous juxtaposition and subversion of the usual idea of a candy necklace or set of vintage pearls as well as producing the most detail in the design of the polo mint itself.
