Architectural Detail Abstract photography. Taken at Penrhyn Castle , Bangor , North Wales , UK. I wanted to create the feeling of scale and awe that a visitor feels when entering the gateway to a castle. It is often at these moments when we see a historical building from a natural abstract perspective that we get the greatest feeling of being connected to its history and to the people that have passed through the same gateway before us. A feeling of both great anticipation , but also of foreboding , similar to that which must have been felt by soldiers entering a castle at any point in Human History.
