Capturing that golden glory of sunrise at The Spit Pier, Gold Coast. I originally wanted a shot under the pier, but the structure of this particular pier prevented that from happening. There were about 20 photographers all doing their best for that perfect shot. Sometimes I get a sunrise or sunset with a range of colours from yellow, gold, magenta, purple, this day the glorious golden hues, and beautiful reflections on the water. Slight long exposure just to give the effect on the waves, but I did not need a longer exposure, as the golden sunrise was just spectacular as it was. Someone had carved a heart in the sand, I was going to crop it out, but I loved the sunset, and the heart represents love, so I kept it in.
