Behind The Lens

Location
This portrait of my daughter was made in Ireland, a few hours before we were going to the airport. Back home to Denmark with our pockets full of experiences from lovely Ireland. It had been a wonderful vacation! I'm sure that's what you can see in my daughter's eyes. A huge joy and satisfaction.
Time
It was in the morning right after we had packed our suitcases. We stayed with our lovely friend Sheila and persuaded her to make a nice hairstyle on Malou. It may well give that little bit extra to a portrait.
Lighting
There was harsh sun and therefore I had to ask Malou to stay in the shadows. Otherwise, the harsh sunlight can cause noticeable, unwanted shadows on the face and then you may not get the look you want.
Equipment
I have different camera brands and cameras that I love. But on this vacation, I needed a camera that was lightweight and therefore it became my sony alpha 7.
Inspiration
I have set myself a goal; that every time I travel, I want to take a photoshoot at a beautiful, unknown destination. It's exciting with new places and often both the nature and the buildings are completely different than in Denmark. I love diversity and new stuff. It feeds the brain with new brain cells and creativity gets free flow.
Editing
Not much
In my camera bag
only the most necessary. I try not to get my camera bag too heavy
Feedback
Prepare a photoshoot when you go out and travel and feel the energy. Ireland is a wonderful destination for a change.
