I'm often in Givskud Zoo. It's not far from where I live. I often come there with my children. And because I love to photograph I almost always have my camera with me. We almost feel like friends with several of the zookeepers. And we have learned a lot about the animals. In Givskud zoo, the Berberabes live outside all year. They have had a stable, but NOT EVEN in a snowstorm they went there. However, they still have shelter for the monkeys, but they only use them once in a while. I love all the things that take place in this portrait. The one she is nursing the other mother. And the little baby, he is on his way with something nice for his mother. If you look good, then he has a green leaf in the mouth. (or something like that) him who almost has his teeth in the baby is really naughty. He is a teenager. Three years old. He is naughty and charming. And it's a bit like the monkey to the right puts his arm around him and says; slow down and take it easy friend.

The photo was taken in a zoo that is only a half hour drive from us. We had bought annual passes there. So we got there quite often before Corona. These Gibraltar monkeys has a large area to romp on and visitors enter the area near them. Many funny episodes happens. There are signs that you must take care of loose objects such as sunglasses, caps, etc.The monkeys are faster than you think. And they will be happy to acquire new toys. It's fun to watch them. They are very reminiscent of a human family. One day I was there, one of the babies was curious and gently touched my sandal / foot. The mother hurried to pull the baby away from me. I actually managed to photograph it too. But the caretaker told me, that it meant life or death for the little monkey, if it did not learn not to approach the guests at the zoo. Then they would have to kill it. So upbringing they got, - the lovely Berber monkeys!! But this picture shows a lovely family who care for each other. Although the big brothers are a little cheeky about the little new one.Time
The picture was taken in the evening at 8pm where it was quiet and most of the guests had gone home.Lighting
There was nice evening light - the golden hour.Equipment

The animals did, of course. They are completely irresistible.Editing
I have only lightened it a little and screwed up the colors a bit.In my camera bag
I only carry around the most necessary things. Otherwise, it becomes so strenuous to walk and lug aroundFeedback
I dream 100% of becoming a National Geographic Photographer. So that I get paid to travel around the world and photograph the world's great treasures. Right from polar bears in Greenland to the most beautiful desert landscapes. But until that dream comes true; Then I have to go exploring in my own immediate area. and so must you!!
