The meaning and purpose of Easter is to celebrate the coming of our Lord and Savior, Jesus - whose mission was to be born and later die on the cross to pay for the sins we all have committed, so that our sins could be forgiven and blotted out and His righteousness credited to our account, when we freely receive Jesus as our Lord and savior.
