I believe this is a Four-spotted Pennant (Brachymesia gravida) dragonfly - a medium-sized dragonfly of the southeastern U.S. I am not an expert on dragonflies so if you know for sure what this beautiful dragonfly is, by all means send me a message with the correct name.
Whatever the correct name is, we can still enjoy the beauty and design of this incredible insect!
