I was in DC about 10 years ago when they were doing construction on the Reflection Pond. I was able to go back and wanted to get this shot that I wasn't able to before.Editing

Get to your location early to setup and to stake out your spot. Chances are that there are other photographers such as yourself that want the same picture. Use apps like PhotoPills to know the path of the sun to help judge where you want to setup.
