This photo shows a group of Valencia Ladies parading to offer the flowers they are carrying in their hands to the Virgin. The flowers will be placed to form the cloak of the 50 foot monument of the Virgin built in front of the Cathedral during the festivity of Las Fallas (Les Falles) in Valencia, Spain. The Offering which is one of the important events during the celebration is an opportunity for the families, but in special for the Valencia ladies of all ages, to parade in typical dress. Women when wearing the fallero suit must wear petticoats, antique underwear, accompanied by a hollower to give flight to the skirt, which is one of the most outstanding parts of the suit since they are made of fabrics with handmade prints or embroidered patterns and very bright colors. The dress is completed with a shawl used on a beautiful and very elaborated comb.
