I took this photo in the Great Ocean Road in Victoria, Australia. Actually on the day I took the photo the Twelve Apostles were only eight, erosion and sea force has taken the other four down. I was very fortunate to have the possibility to see them.

Location
I took this photo at the Twelve Apostles off the shore of Port Campbell National Park, by the Great Ocean Road in Victoria, Australia.Time
It was close to noon.Lighting
The day was bright and sunny with a little bit of haze due to the sea mist and few clouds, the sky was very blue.Equipment
I used a Canon 7D with a 18-55 mm 1:3.5-5.6 IS II Canon lens. No tripod was used.Inspiration
I was trying to get the beauty of the seascape that the area has. It is a wonderful sight that moves you by thinking that due to erosion from the sea and wind it will disappear in some more years. From the twelve original rock formations that gave the name to the area only eight remain in place the rest have been eroded and are gone forever.Editing
I normally use Adobe Photoshop to edit my photos. In this case I did very little editing, just adjusted the contrast and the shadows in other to highlight the colors of the rocks. In my camera bag
I carry in my bag a Canon 7D camera, all my lenses are also Canon a 28-135 mm 1:3.5-5.6 US IS, a 75-300mm 1:4-5.6 III USM and the lens I used for this shot the 18-55 mm 1:3.5-5.6 IS II. Additionally I carry several batteries, cards, a Targus TG-DL20C flash and a remote shooter. Additional I have several different Tripods.Feedback
I am very happy with this photo even I would have liked to take it also in the dawn and dusk, for which I should have used a tripod and obviously different settings. My advice is always the same be prepared to take the pictures you want to take, carry the necessary equipment and, even I did not in this case, use a tripod as much as you can for these landscape photos. I always have my settings to take pictures in RAW when I use the Canon 7D, but when I do not have it with me and have to take pictures with the I-Phone or with a point and shoot, which I always carry with me, I take JPG's and later try to do my best when editing. Since I love photography, any kind, I am alway trying to learn more to improve my knowledge and I recommend to others to take photos as much as you can and then analyze them to discover what you have done well and what needs improvement.
