Behind The Lens
Location
I took this picture in my hometown Bangalore, India just a day after I bought my new 500mm lens and to this day this is one of my favorite shots.Time
I remember buying my new lens just the night before and I was quite excited to be able to finally use it however dizzy and tired I may have been from the night before. I woke up before dawn set in and took a stroll down the lake beside my house with my camera and new lens to set it up in my favorite spots and awaited as dawn set in and an orchestra of birds just flew past me. After awaiting almost 2 hours it was almost 7:42 when I was quite exhilarated and decided to take a leave right when a Kingfisher decided to settle on a rock right bedside me and without any hesitation and with complete composure to try and not startle the bird, I took as many photos as possible to capture the moment.Lighting
To be honest the lighting was perfect and I didn't have to make any changes all I'll say is that be at the right place at the right time.Equipment
This picture was shot on a Nikon D7500 with a 200-500mm lens with f/5.6.Inspiration
I always had an interest in writing and photography but never had a chance to explore it myself and after almost a decade I got that chance during the lockdown to finally indulge in my talents which made me fall in live with writing. I published two books in just a year and the following year I finally got the chance to buy my very own camera and dabble in photography. After receiving training in photograph and almost 5000 photos later I learnt one thing, to cherish every moment because you'll never know when you'll get it back, these entire two years of my life have been a complete rollercoaster and if I had a chance to relive it I would do it all again, the moments I had were priceless and only photography can capture these moments so before I took any picture with my camera I always cherish that moment to make it last a lifetime. That's my inspiration.Editing
Yes I did some post processing in Adobe photoshop where only made few adjustments like sharpening the image and increasing it's exposure to make it better, I didn't make any other further adjustments because I wanted the image to be as natural as possible. In my camera bag
In my bag I normally don't have much just my 200-500mm lens my Nikon D7500 and my 40-140mm lens.Feedback
It doesn't matter what equipment you don't have now just make the best of what you have and remember to cherish every moment that'll make every single image you ever take the best one and always be at the right time at the right moment to make it as spectacular as possible.
