Photo I took of a controlled burn being conducted in the central valley of Yosemite National Park, California. This fire-prevention strategy is becoming routine in California and other western states as climate change creates more drought conditions, which result in a proliferation of major wildfires devastating the natural landscape as well as wildlife and people's homes. The theme of this photo is an appeal to support efforts to arrest or reverse the dangers of global warming that threaten the ecosystem and all life dependent on it, including humanity.
