What a beautiful morning!
Don't fight it. Every putt breaks toward Cold Mountain.

The photo was taken during our annual "Permission Trip" to Springdale Golf Resort, Cruso NC across the road from Cold Mountain, part of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Cold Mountain is famous for many things, including the novel by Charles Frazier and the major motion picture Cold Mountain starring Jude Law, Nicole Kidman, and Renée Zellweger. Springdale is a great resort facility where you can drop anchor and just unwind, play golf and not leave for days. The accomodations and food are excellent.Time

I always carry a Nikon Coolpix in my golf bag, especially when playing mountain golf. Always plenty of nature and scenery opportunities. No other equipment employed on this one.Inspiration
I'd planned on taking some pictures of Cold Mountain back down the 15th fairway. When I saw my friend Wes casually admiring the view of Cold Mountain I simply took the shot, thinking it could turn out to be a nice candid. Nothing was posed. I'd encourage others to just trust your instincts and take the shot if you feel a nudge. You never know what might show up later on a larger screen.Editing
Cropping, maybe some slight lighting adjustment but everything else is what was sceen through the lensIn my camera bag
I have a set of Ping irons, Titleist woods and a Never Compromise putter. Oh, uhm, not that bag. Sorry. Currently I am carrying in my backpack a Nikon D7500, Nikon Nikor AF-S 70-200mm f/2.8E FL ED VR Lens, a Tokina AT-X Pro f/2.8 100mm Macro, f/2.8 12-24mm Wide Angle and a Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4 DC Macro OS HSM Contemporary Lens.Feedback
60+ years later I can assure you that most all of life is photogenic. Unplanned candids reflect that. Always carry a phone with a good camera and if you can't do that make sure you have a point and shoot of some sort. I like Coolpix and Lumix. I've reached a point where I always look around, below and beyond most anything that catches my attention. Just be ready to shoot and sort it out when you get back home.
