Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken in the desert near my city, we went with a friend of mine with incredible ideas in mind

Time

We programmed everything in the afternoon, when the sunlight was softer, avoiding the harshness of the light in the desert.

Lighting

It is always important to know what you want to convey with your photo, and to understand the light for this is essential, I wanted my photo to be in a soft light, that's why I went when the sun was going down and it was already hiding behind the nearby mountains, that gave it an air of a story and fantasy that it sought to convey

Equipment

One of my favorite lenses that I usually use for outdoor photoshoots is the 70-200 from Tamron, which is fast focusing and very versatile. I also take a reflector for portraits No other equipment was involved

Inspiration

This photo was taken as part of a series that had to do with dreams, with not giving up, the importance of persevering over and over again to achieve them

Editing

I generally reveal the photos in Lightroom and then I finish the process in Photoshop, the idea is to correct the color, and highlight the subject with luminosity masks, in this particular case, I added other photos to the mirror, to achieve my composition as I had in mind for this concept photo

In my camera bag

My belobed camera Nikon D750, My favourite lenses, Tamron 70-200 and Sigma art 50, 85 and 105

Feedback

When taking portraits outdoors, always look for the right place and light, sometimes it is better to take the time before going around the place and not rush and then deal with a hard lime or very difficult to clean backgrounds
