Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken in a course I gave on inspiring photography, I went around the place looking for the ideal location, and when I saw that part of the river, like in a backwater, I knew that there I could play with the reflection and tell a story

Time

I wanted to create images with soft light, so we arranged to take the pictures early in the morning

Lighting

I wanted to convey a sense of peace and well-being by being in contact with nature and for the viewer to feel inside the scene, enveloped by the calm of the story it tells.

Equipment

This was shot by Nikon D750 and Tamron 70-200 lens, only natural light

Inspiration

I usually do portrait photography in the middle of nature, when I saw that place so calm, beautiful, surrounded by beautiful trees and a river that crossed it, I knew that it was perfect to register our model, but that it was not just a pretty photo, but that you could touch the emotions, both mine and the viewer's

Editing

I always process my photos in Lightroom and Photoshop, even if the image is a perfect raw, I thought I would give it a personal touch, I wanted everything to look harmonious, like in a dream to complete the story that had inspired me

In my camera bag

The first thing I pack is my camera and I make sure I bring a telephoto lens and a wide angle lens, usually my Tamron 70-200 and Sigma art 24 and 50mm. It is important not to forget to charge the batteries and carry extra memory cards, just in case... you never know

Feedback

It is important to let yourself be carried away by intuition at times, let yourself be inspired by what surrounds us, allow yourself a moment to observe, walk around the place, observe the light and think what story we would like to tell, what sensations we would like to convey, and then go out and take the photos we dreamed of..
