Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken in a little forest at sunset, the little girl was so sweet and eager to explore new games with me, I gave her this beautiful knitted doll, and asked her: what would you call your new little friend? she opened her eyes wide and thought about it for a while

Time

the photo was taken at sunset in a very hot summer, this is probably my favorite time, where the warm light bathes the entire landscape and the forest becomes magical.

Lighting

I really love that the sun is behind the subject, it gives him/her a rim light that makes portraits magical.

Equipment

I used Nikon D750 Sigma 28-70 Only natural light And no tripod at all when we have to run behind these little cuties!!! (Literally) hahaha!!

Inspiration

It is said that the eyes are the mirror of the soul, and when I portray children, I try to take the time to observe their eyes, their gaze says so much! they are fresh and do not hide behind any mask, hopefully we will retain that freshness and honesty in our eyes as adults!

Editing

Yes! I think that in the post process the artist can express more of his own soul, and give details of his own vision of things I use Lr and Ps to do that

In my camera bag

my beloved camera, a zoom lens, I usually use Tamron 70-200 G2 and the Sigma Art 50 1.4 I carry extra memory cards, insect repeller, a scissors (just in case!), and a bottle of water is never missing

Feedback

Working with young children has a special charm, it requires patience and trying to see things through their eyes, maybe we are a little bit children too! We can hardly pose them, but we can create games and slogans that make their wonderful imagination flies and enjoy magical moments together, while we record them with our camera
