Beautiful Mother/Daughter portrait! Although you both look so young I cannot tell which is Mother and which is Daughter. 👍📷😺

This photo was taken at my house in Tillsonburg, Ontario, Canada on my front porch. We had just returned home from visiting one of our many beautiful local parks.Time
This photo was taken on Sept. 02, 2015 at approximately 6pm in the evening. It started out as me wanting to do something for her, something that would make her smile. What I didn't know then is that it would become one of my most cherished memories of my daughter & I.Lighting
I didn't use any special lighting as it was a bright, beautiful summer day here in our hometown and we were outdoors. Mother Nature was my assistant this day. Not to mention my daughter's natural beauty, though I may be a bit biased.Equipment
Due to not yet owning a proper camera yet, this was taken on a Samsung cell phone. No other items were used to assist such as tripods etc. I propped my phone upon a rock, once again, Mother Nature was my assistant this day! It goes to show that if you are willing & determined you can begin getting into photography without expensive equipment if you have to. Just follow your heart & use your imagination.Inspiration
In 2015 when my girl was 15, just 2 weeks after being offered a very prestigious modeling contract, she was diagnosed with a rare illness. Sadly this took that opportunity away from her & she slipped into a depression. Some time passed & I realized I hadn't seen her smile. I went & loaded her into the truck, told her "Don't ask any questions, just follow me." We went to the store & I bought a bunch of environmentally friendly paint & headed to the park. She said, "Mom, what are we doing, I just want to go home!" I turned to her & said "Catch!" Throwing bottles of paint to her, confusing her. Then I splattered her with paint & with a look of shock she finally understood. The Mother Daughter paint war was on!! More importantly so was the smile on her face! Success! All I needed was to see her smile And I'm so grateful I had the ability to capture the moment in time. Im so proud to say, she battles her illness every day and she wins! She's even a member here on Viewbug as well!Editing
This photo was shot in raw form.In my camera bag
I have my cell phone, a Samsung S7, on me at all times for the purpose of the camera. I also have a backup cellphone which is a Samsung SM-A520W. And I recently purchased a tripod that works for both a cell phone and a camera.Feedback
Just go for it! Don't put too much pressure on yourself. Don't expect perfection every time. Have fun with it! And if you're like me and don't own the best equipment yet, don't let that stop you from chasing your passion! Be creative and imaginative, don't compare yourself to others, rather learn from them. There are many ways to do so on Viewbug! Just don't give up! You'll get that perfect shot you've always dreamed of!
