Location
This photo was taken in my hometown as a protest came through. I couldn't help myself but brave the frigid cold and set out with my camera looking for photo opportunities when I came upon this little guy with such a profound statement. It was very touching.Time
I remember walking around mid morning, horns blaring, people chanting, Canadian flags waving everywhere. And in the midst of it all this tiny boy standing silently amongst it all. It's one of the most touching photos I've ever taken.Lighting
This photo was taken under natural outdoor lighting. No flash or extra lighting was necessary this day. Sometimes mother nature works in your favor.Equipment
This was shot on a Samsung Galaxy S21 FE. No other equipment was needed.Inspiration
During the protest with horns honking, people yelling, commotion everywhere I saw this little one standing in silence holding a sign. With such a profound statement in his hands standing quietly off to the side, I was so moved by his presence I just had to take a photo. In that moment it was like all of the noise faded & it was just me & this quiet little boy with one of the most moving statements I've ever seen.Editing
There was no post- processing involved in taking this photo. In my camera bag
I always have my cell phone, a tripod and some lenses that fit my cell phone in my bag. You never know when a great photo opportunity will present itself.Feedback
As a novice myself the best advice I can give is just be true to yourself. Follow your visions. Don't forget to be playful and have fun sometimes. And practice always makes perfect.
