Behind The Lens
Location
A few weeks ago, I was flying back into Seattle after a week away from home. The residual smoke through the Pacific Northwest brought out this beautiful pink hue through the sunset as we prepared for descent into Sea-Tac airport right at the cusp of dusk leading to a surreal sunset though the sky!Time
I was lucky enough to be scheduled for landing around 9 PM that night which was peak sunset hour for the beginning of August.Lighting
Nature took care of this for me but I think the shot through the window of an airplane definitely helped maintain the ethereal look from the sky.Equipment
Canon EOS RP with a 50 MM EF 1.8 mounted with the F mount adapter.Inspiration
I'd been looking forward to this sunset flight for a while and when I saw this incredible pink hue through the clouds, I couldn't resist the shotEditing
I used Lightroom to bring out the pink and blue hues through the sky and used a decent amount of Dehaze to help bring out the silhouette of the Olympic Mountains over the sound in the background. In my camera bag
Typically I carry my EOS RP, my F mount 85 MM 2.0 Macro, F 24-105 4-7.1 Kit Lens, and my 50 mm EF 1.8Feedback
