The photo was taken at West Kirby Beach in the UK, we (me and my mum) had spent the day splashing and swimming in the sea waiting for the sunset, it was about 26 degrees and the skies were clear! I packed my camera equipment and hoped it would stay like that! Thankfully it did, as the sun was setting i got my equipment and we cuddled up on the beach watching and taking pictures of the sunset! It was beautiful!Time
This was taken at sunset! The most beautiful time of day! I live 20 mins from the beach but always miss the sunset as busy! Not this time! I made sure i was there! And so did everyone else!Lighting
All beautiful natural lighting! With tweaked brightness in Lightroom so the photo focuses on the sun!Equipment
I used my Canon 6D mark II with a tripod and two lenses, my 50mm and my 80-300 zoom lens!Inspiration
I admire how beautiful sunsets are but when you have a busy life it’s difficult to get to the right place at the right time! After getting a sunset a few weeks previous to this, i was extremely happy to get this one by my home town!Editing
Yes i played around with darkening and raising the vibrance so the sun and clouds stood out on the pictureIn my camera bag
I have 2 bags one with extra lenses but I usually go around with my main bag which has my camera body, my 50mm, 40mm and my 80-300mm lenses, my external flash, business cards, batteries, USB’s and memory cards as well as cleaning equipment!Feedback
Just go for it! I started photography through pointing and shooting, people always complimented me on it! The wonderful thing about photography is your own creativeness comes out through the camera! Find the nearest best place to capture sunsets whether that’s a beach or hill, check if the sky will be clear and check what time the sun sets, get there in enough time to set up and get some tester shots and then go for it! Play around or look up the settings and give it a go, the more practice the better you get! There will always be more sunsets so don’t panic!
