Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photograph at my now sadly passed Great Aunts house. This was her adored cat. I am a professional photographer with a degree but at the time of taking this I wasnt even at college yet. I was just starting out and experimenting

Time

It was around midday. I was in the house by myself and got bored so decided to walk around and try out different shots. When i walked into the living room the beautiful mitzee was sat on the window ledge and she looked beautiful. I knew i had to have a photoshoot with her

Lighting

The lighting was all natural coming through the window, it was a perfect moment

Equipment

I used weirdly my phone at the time. Back when this was taken, I couldn’t afford a camera (not a decent one) and no one really knew my talents, it was kind of a secret. So i used my phone, it was a new one for my birthday and i was testing its quality out.

Inspiration

For me personally, everything inspires me to take photos. Its all about having the eye for detail, most people just look around and not take stuff in but when i look around i see hundreds of photo opportunities

Editing

No post processing (this time)

In my camera bag

In my bag now i have my canon 6D mark 2, 50mm lens, 40mm lens and 80mm lens, external flash, sd cards and spare batteries. This is just when im grabbing my bag, otherwise i have another bag with 4 more lenses and i have a tripod and monopod

Feedback

If you see it and you like it then go for it, sometimes opportunities are missed. Grab your camera, sort the settings out and take the shot, a picture is better than no picture, you may be surprised how it turns out.
