Behind The Lens

Location

In Chihuahua, Mexico, in a place near the mountains.

Time

Between 13:30 - 14:00

Lighting

I had to place her with the sun behind her, taking care not to reflect more shadows than needed. Aperture f/ 1.8 to let more light 1/1600 sec

Equipment

I use my Canon Rebel SL2, my lens 50 mm 1.4 and my lens 80 mm 1.8

Inspiration

It was my first time shooting something related with fashion and I wanted to transmit confidence and beauty at the same time, visualized this photo in my head where people could feel warmth in a cold weather condition.

Editing

Yes, I use Lightroom CC to edit my photographs. It is a very personalized and detailed edit because I edit each part of the photograph by mi Int and playing with all the parameters. It takes time but I love it, because I have learned to mix colors and textures and many parameters to make my idea possible. My next goal is to learn photoshop!

In my camera bag

My Canon Rebel SL 2, my 50 mm 1.4 lens, my 85 mm 1.8 lens and my camera sun shield.

Feedback

Cloudy days have a perfect light, when working in a sunny DAY, try to work 1 hour before the sun hides, if it needs to be at any other hour, then look for the best way to place the sun behind your model taking care of the shadows. For this Picture I used ISO 100 85 mm F/ 1.8 1/1600 But most of all, imagine first your shot, be confident of your ideas and ask your model to be your partner and be creative to make it possible.
