Enjoying a beautiful Summer's day drive through the Columbia River Gorge I stopped at Oneonta Tunnel, just at the Oneonta Gorge, and came across this little guy, clinging to the plant life that was clinging to the Basalt Rock walls, next to the tunnel. He-she is a Banded Alder Borer Beetle (Rosalia Funebris). I loved his-her striking appearance and thought he-she deserved a photograph. He-she was pretty cool, hanging out for quite a while, so I could take as many photos as I wanted. This photo was taken on Saturday the 24th of July in 2021.
