This photo was taken in Ohiopyle State Park in Pennsylvania. Ohiopyle Park is located and encompasses the Ohiopyle River. It is a beautiful park set in the Allegheny Mountain range with hiking and biking trails throughout.Time
This photo was taken late in the morning. Being in a ravine I found it is better to go when the sun it a bit higher in the sky so you get light in this valley.Lighting

This stream is just downstream from Cucumber Falls in Ohiopyle State Park and empties into the Ohiopyle River. The falls are easily accessible from the road for viewing and many people (me included) take photos of the falls. However, for this shot I hiked further downstream to get a photo of the tributary created coming from the falls. I wanted a different take on the falls.Editing
Post processing included normal adjustments for exposure, contrast, saturation and cropping.In my camera bag
I tend to be a minimalist when out shooting by myself. Typically, I only carry my camera and an extra battery and will add a tripod only if I think I will be doing longer exposures. Sometimes I come upon something and wish I hadn't packed so light but then I have to figure it out and get creative.Feedback
Move to where other people aren't. A popular attraction can have a whole different perspective by moving farther away, getting low or even climbing part way up a hill. Experimenting can sometimes lead to a happy ending!
