Abstract Nature Landscape Photography. Taken from a high point on an overgrown footpath this is an intimate portrait of dawn and the landscape. The focal point was a set of red campion buds that stood out as though preparing to unfurl their magenta splendour for the first time with shy coaxing from the rising sun. Using a 70-300mm nikon lens and macro techniques with a selected focal point it enhanced the combination of subtle light , tonal colours , gentle shadows and created a ethereal bokeh effect in both the fore and background. the creative composition had been something I had planned in mind for sometime but I had to wait patiently until the hedgerows on the paths had reached their summer growth and the sunrise created the right colour of straw like light to produce the symbolic and tactile feeling of a hazy and hot summer's day . The image is meant to conjure up the feelings of stillness and relaxation felt by lying down hidden deep within the arms of a warm and sleepy meadow and the view to be had of the cooling grasses that surround you.
