This photo was taken at Dockweiler Beach, California. I've never been to this beach before but it was a photogs dream come true! Not a lot of people, plus the sand was untouched, prestine.Time
This model and I shot quite a lot this last year and this is my favorite shot. This was taken late afternoon (golden hour). After a month of planning we had all the elements required to make great images.Lighting
We had planned on golden hour light but I also brought speed lights. We used off camera flash with a soft box when we started but quickly realized the California sunset didn't need helpEquipment

Jade, my model and I had been shooting fitness and healthy living content for social media. The beach and ocean are so beautiful we wanted to finish our shoots with something spectacular. Something that captured being healthy and happy.Editing
Yes, I did some light retouching on her skin. Brightened the exposure a stop or 2 and cropped it so she was centered better. A little color grading for skin tone. All done in Photoshop.In my camera bag
My bag is stuft with too many items!! I carry my Canon 5D Mark III, Canon 24-105mm f/4 Sigma 85mm 1.4, Canon 50mm 1.4 and a Godox V1. Also, extra batteries and lens cleaning items.Feedback
