Intimate Landscape Portrait Photography. Taken in early Spring , this portrait of new lambs and their cozy Mother was taken in Late February on a particularly unusual warm and sunny day in Wales. A newborn set of triplets getting cuddly and enjoying their first day in the fields, they were only born two days before. 149, whom i have affectionately called, Mavis , seems at peace in this shot which is funny as it came just after an invasion from a pair of twins belonging to 147 ( clearly the dear little souls could not count past 100). The image was taken using as much zoom as possible without compromising the quality from a slightly lower POV (over a field wall quite some distance away) the afternoon light was trying to play havoc with the exposure of the bright white faces so to keep the intimate angle and clarity was somewhat difficult and involved careful settings plus a tilted lens . the final photograph has not been excessively edited allowing the on site work to do the job but it has involved some slight cropping to improve the overall composition and rule of thirds.
