Behind The Lens

Location

I was taking a morning walk at Barr Lake. It was foggy and this set of trees in the fog was very peaceful and intriguing.

Time

It was morning

Lighting

I was drawn to how the trees looked with the fog in the background. I could imagine what a great black and white picture this would be.

Equipment

This was taken with my iPhone.

Inspiration

I was enjoying the starkness of the landscape with the fog.

Editing

I chose to process this with photoshop express. I saw this as a black and white picture. I did darken shadows a bit and some dehaze to make the trees pop a bit more.

In my camera bag

I usually have a lumix fz1000 on my walks because it’s lightweight and versatile. This day I was having a me day and only had my phone for music.

Feedback

My advice is to shoot what catches your eye. I’ve walked by this location several times but this day it caught my eye. You just never know what you’ll see. And never let only having your phone stop you from taking the picture.
