Animal Action Photography . Taken on Easter weekend , just after my friend had let her brood of hens out on the fields after winter. This is a portrait of Lenin , a cockerel that was named , not after the Soviet Leader , but in honour of the rooster with the same name that caused such comic mayhem in the British sitcom called , " The Good Life ". The image was taken at Low POV ( I was actually lying on the ground facing uphill as the birds walked around ) and using continuous shooting with medium - high telephoto zoom so as get chance to capture a more natural expression in their behaviour and movement ( I also know that Lenin is pretty protective of his regime and so cowardice was a big factor in my creative decision ). An Easter Parade of the feathered variety down on the farm at the edge of my village of Llanfachraeth on the Isle of Anglesey off the North Wales Mainland in the UK.
