Taken at sunset on the Marina in the Port of Holyhead on the Isle of Anglesey off the North Wales Mainland in the UK. Using the direction and softness of natural evening light to enhance the contrast of the geometric and architectural elements if this storytelling Seascape composition while producing a gentle warming imagery by reducing the flare to a glow. The direction oand perspective were carefully chosen to create a layered and complex view using leading lines to take the viewer to the various interesting elements in the story as well as building up an interesting portrait of nautical life and the landscape of a traditional Port. The angle was at both a low POV to the bridge whilst also being at a high POV to the boat and water because of the mid height level of the sea wall. Tilting the angle of the camera helped to enrich the reflections in the water . The original photograph was taken in colour but with a view to transfer this to black and white in post processing . Seaside portrait photography.
