Abstract Macro Creative Portrait and Landscape Fusion Photography. Taken overlooking a now derelict castle at the edge of the harbour at Holyhead on the Isle of Anglesey off the North Wales Mainland in the UK. ' No Place Like Home ' , is a Portrait within a Portrait , a Portrait of Home and of the Person who treasures that Home. Symbolic of many themes , Pride in Community and Country , the Feeling of Solace in being in the place you call home , the Comfort of Belonging , and the Knowledge that being alone does not have to be a negative experience. The themes ware particularly relevant at the time that this image was taken as it is an image of a Man in Isolation , out on a reviving walk in a remote location during the Coronavirus Pandemic. Dramatic Storytelling was created by choosing to have the light source behind the landscape subject creating a striking silhouette in reflection contrasted by the bright sun in the sky. Using full frame and rule of thirds in both the human portrait and the landscape scene added to the strong emotive nature of the composition along with using a shallow depth and an extreme low POV , side angle and macro .
