' BRAVE! ' , is an abstract symbolic portrait not merely of a girl taking a first step alone Beyond the bushes to find a new adventure , but also of Womanhood , as this is often how we see the " Self " when we are embarking on a new or stressful stage in our social or work lives , even if our outward appearance is always one of strength and calm intelligence. An iconic symbolic image really , much like the boy on a dock or the swan looking calm above the water as they paddle their feet madly beneath. Contrasting excitement with fear , bravery with anxiety , adventure and innocence , freedom and confinement, and both the positive and negative sides of venturing out alone or being isolated from the world.An Unstaged intimate moment in a child's life caught on telephoto lens in variable light conditions down a woodland path at Cefni Lake Reserve and Reservoir in Llangefni on the Isle of Anglesey off the North Wales Mainland in the UK. Permission was granted by the parents whom requested a copy for their own album. Post processing involved some slight cropping to add to the ethereal atmosphere by creating an image using rule of thirds and a slight tint to the colour saturation to add to the modern fairytale like quality.
