Location
Headed to a family dinner in Southwest Georgia after work one day, had to pull over on the side of the road to catch the setting crescent moon.Time
This was taken just after sunset while the sky still glowed orange and silhouetted the tall Georgia pines.Lighting
While the sun had already left my view of the sky, the beautiful sliver crescent moon was fully illuminated, hanging majestically above the pine trees.Equipment
This was taken early on in my photography journey, using a Canon Rebel Xt, and a Sigma 80-400mm zoom lens.Inspiration
For a large portion of my life, I’ve had an obsession with the moon, so when I saw the opportunity to catch this shot, I really had no choice but to stop.Editing
I used Photoshop to process the RAW file, tune and tweak the colors, etc, and some light sharpening. In my camera bag
If I have my camera bag with me, I carry everything. As a nature/landscape photographer, you never know what you’re going to have the opportunity th photograph, so you have to be prepared for it all.Feedback
If you see it, shop and shoot it! It probably won’t be there next time you pass by!
