Behind The Lens
Location
The mimosa tree in the back yard was in full bloom, and I had a recently purchased macro lens!Time
It was taken in the late afternoon, after the sun had moved behind the trees and the mimosa bloom was in full shade.Lighting
There was no extra lighting involved, just the indirect late afternoon sun.Equipment
The photo was taken with a Canon 7D, with a Canon EF 180mm f/3.5 Macro USM Lens, mounted on a Manfrotto 055XPRO Tripod.Inspiration
The fragile beauty of the mimosa blossom has always drawn me in. Seeing it in extreme close up only magnified that.Editing
It was processed from RAW in Photoshop, cropped, color corrected, sharpened slightly... the usual. In my camera bag
As a landscape photographer, I usually carry the full range of equipment with me whenever I go looking for something to shoot.Feedback
