You actually can get a good shot outside anytime of day. Just look at the light and figure out where you can still get a good shot when the light is poor. This photo was taken around noon in August on a sunny day.Equipment

I was done shooting and back in my car when I saw the Iguana. I set up while in the car so all my setting were perfect before trying to get a shot of a lizard that likes its space and runs extremely fast. The Iguana just appeared in front of my face I wasn't thinking I was basically on auto pilot. Just wanted to get one or two shots before it ran off. Most of the time you cannot get this close to one in the wild. This one was eating some berries and that gave me the few seconds I needed. I got 2 frames off before it saw me and ran.Editing
This was shot in 2013 with a crappy lens and a 12meg DSLR. The lighting was very harsh. I remember doing some noise reduction and lots of targeted sharpening to some parts of the image. Software has improved greatly over the last decade as have my editing skills. I just don't remember how I was editing my images a decade ago. Sorry.In my camera bag
Currently I carry 2 canon 24meg crop sensor DSLRs with an 18-55 canon STM wide angle zoom on one camera and a canon 100mm macro f/2.8 on the other. Normally I also carry a telephoto zoom but currently I don't have one it died on me and have not replaced it yet.Feedback
When out in nature be alert watch and listen. When approaching wildlife move slow, step lightly, and be very very quiet.
