I've previously put up a B-W photo of this tree, but here I've focused more on the incredible branch structure and textures of the Coolabah tree. As previously mentioned, this tree is of major historical importance for Australia, being the tree blazed by two search parties looking for the Burke and Wills expedition, after they did not return from the top end of Queensland. Unfortunately they perished and their bodies were eventually returned to Melbourne. (see full story on b-w photo)
